Through past support of the ambitious Campaign for Legal Services Committee work – we are growing and recruiting more local and regional support across Illinois!
In 2025, we are seeking to grow even more support for free civil legal aid for Illinois families by centralizing our efforts across our 36 counties to join the Together For Justice Team (TFJ) and TFJ committees. The entire team will meet virtually four times each year to learn about the impact of PSLS’ services and support PSLS in creative and passionate ways, including:
- Foster 100% TFJ team giving to demonstrate philanthropic proof of concept or lead by example approach.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration across TFJ committees.
- Coordinate PSLS support across TFJ committees to ensure necessary resources are created and implemented.
- Sell tickets, extend invitations and garner support for TFJ team events and goals.
- Recognize and publicize the TFJ team’s work and accomplishments to leverage future support and expand our influence.
- Elevate and expand inclusiveness by recruiting non-lawyers to join TFJ while honoring the legal sector, donors and generational law firms who have funded PSLS for decades.
Together for Justice actively meets to support regional impact events benefiting Prairie State Legal Services families.
Participation for these events range from virtual and in person, and to support the overall work of PSLS, the Together For Justice team has several committees:
Corporate Outreach Committee
This committee engages the corporate legal sector including corporate foundations, legal departments and law firms.
2025 Focus: The Corporate Outreach Committee will dedicate the early months of 2025 to cultivating meaningful connections through the "Spring into Pro Bono" series, while also exploring opportunities to establish a dynamic and engaging environment for a Chicago-based "Happy Hour" gathering.

2024 Achievements: In 2024, Strike A Chord found a new home at 28 Mile Distillery, where with the collaborative support of the TFJ team, PSLS enhanced the event experience by streamlining the registration process, ultimately raising more than $15,000. The TFJ team also embraced innovative strategies this year, including identifying more than 40 community locations to distribute marketing materials, further amplifying event visibility and engagement in the lead-up to the event.
