More Ways to Give

A mother escaping domestic abuse, a family facing eviction, or a veteran losing her benefits: by giving to Prairie State Legal Services, you partner with our attorneys and staff to serve your neighbors most in need. Below are just a few of the ways you can partner with us:

By giving monthly, you demonstrate your continued commitment to our mission of providing equal access to justice. When you give monthly, your chosen amount will be automatically deducted from your account on the date of your choice.

Corporate sponsors fund PSLS' mission through various annual partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. To join the 2023 Lawyers for Justice Campaign, support local PSLS events, or learn more, please contact Director of Resource Development Jennifer Luczkowiak at jluczkowiak@pslegal.org.

Securities gifts are the transfer of stock, bonds, and other securities, especially those that have increased in value. For instructions on making a securities gift to Prairie State, please contact Prairie State Administrative Office at (815) 965-2134.

You can donate to Prairie State in honor or in memory of a special event or person.

If your employer matches gifts, you may be able to double or even triple your donation. Matching-gift programs often match all or a percentage of employee donations to charitable organizations. Contact your employer’s human resources to learn if they offer a matching-gift program.

Many individuals donate their time to PSLS by serving on a local fundraising committee. If you are interested in learning more about serving on a fundraising committee, email Annual Giving Specialist Katey Frederking at kfrederking@pslegal.org.

You can promote Prairie State by liking us on Facebook or by following us on Instagram and Twitter. When you share our posts, you promote our mission of providing equal access to justice by introducing your family and friends to the services we provide to their neighbors in need. You can also create a social media fundraiser on our behalf.

A bequest provision is a simple statement in your will that gives to Prairie State any one of the following:

  • A specific dollar amount,
  • A specified percentage of your estate,
  • A particular piece of real estate (such as a home or commercial building),
  • Valuable personal property, such as a work of art.

If you are interested in learning more about planned giving, email Jennifer Luczkowiak, Director of Resource Development, at jluczkowiak@pslegal.org.
