We Engage

Prairie State Legal Services Engages The Community To Understand And Resolve The Problems That Low-income Residents Of Northern And Central Illinois Confront. Staff and volunteers meet people in schools, hospitals, social service organizations and their neighborhoods. We work on issues unique to specific populations. Through ongoing presence and participation in a variety of community settings, we earn trust, build relationships, and collaborate on advocacy to address issues of poverty and racial equity.

Outreach & Education

Prairie State Legal Services provides outreach presentations for organizations and groups in the 36 counties we serve. We can respond to requests from your group to speak on a wide range of topics and issues facing the community, depending on availability of knowledgeable staff. MCLE-Approved Training

Prairie State offers MCLE-approved training to Illinois attorneys on a variety of subjects, to enable them to help meet the legal needs of the low-income community. For more information, please email training@pslegal.org.
