Manager of Training

PSLS is seeking an experienced, mission-driven trainer to fill the role of Manager of Training. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for facilitating and implementing training opportunities that ensure all staff at PSLS receive appropriate training to support their career progression and that meet the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate is able to maintain a broad view of the needs of the organization, is detail-oriented with a strong legal background, and is a process thinker. The work of the Manager of Training allows the organization to achieve its mission of providing equal access to justice and high-quality legal services to underserved communities by ensuring all staff is adequately trained to provide high-quality legal services and maintain integrity and efficiency in organizational operations.
Responsibilities
The Manager of Training is responsible for a combination of training development, implementation, and tracking. This position will include a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
- Collaborate with PSLS department leads to create and implement training modules, including high-quality substantive legal training to be shared internally and/or externally for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit
- Work with PSLS leadership to design, implement, and maintain an organizational training tracking system to ensure all staff at PSLS receive appropriate training to support their career progression, and that meets the needs of the organization
- Maintain PSLS’ training materials, including monitoring and ensuring PSLS training materials are current on all changes in the law and regulations that affect PSLS and its work
- Oversee all aspects of PSLS training events, including coordinating the scheduling, speakers, space, refreshments, technology, attendance, and any follow-up, such as providing certificates of attendance to participants
- Create, implement, and track training evaluations to share with PSLS leadership and to guide continuous improvement
- Coordinate PSLS staff involvement in all external training, including ensuring the registration and travel arrangements are completed
Salary and Benefits
The Manager of Training position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. PSLS offers a competitive salary compared to similar organizations. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $98,078 annually, with increases based on relevant experience. Starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on prior relevant experience. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in the legal field required, legal aid experience preferred
- Experience producing online video content is strongly preferred
- Experience and passion for working with low-income and underserved populations
