The Barbara and Stephen Miller Foundation is an option to seek and apply for one-time hardship grants of up to $1,000 to help a client with a specific need. There is also now an additional program to provide $300 for furniture for clients who have had to relocate. The mission of the Foundation is to "help low-income individuals whose path to self-sufficiency is blocked by a specific, identifiable obstacle." More information is available here. To qualify for the grant, our clients can apply only through us or another organization applying on their behalf, and must show that the one-time assistance will resolve the obstacle.

Barbara Miller will be holding 1 hour trainings via Zoom to train our case handlers on "How to Prepare a Successful Application." Any case handlers who have not previously attended one of Mrs. Miller's trainings should attend. She will be holding the same training on two separate days.
