Prairie State Legal Services, New Leaf Illinois Launch ‘Erase Your Record' Ad Campaign

Prairie State Legal Services and New Leaf Illinois recently launched a new transit and outdoor ad campaign to increase awareness and the numbers of individuals applying for cannabis expungement in our service areas. Ads appear on and in buses, shelters and benches along the North (Waukegan), Heritage (Joliet), DuPage, River (Elgin/McHenry Co.) and Fox Valley (Aurora) bus routes. Several billboards also will be used in Bloomington and Peoria. The “Erase Your Record” campaign directs individuals to the microsite www.eraseyourrecord.org and New Leaf Illinois’ website to learn more about their rights and the process to expunge cannabis and other criminal records. The campaign is running now through August/September.
