2026 Ethics and Professionalism Seminar (6 MCLE credits!)

Join AWALC for or our 10th biennial Professionalism & Ethics Seminar! This seminar has been approved for 6 MCLE credits, including diversity and mental health credits. THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD VIA ZOOM. Log-in will begin at 8:00am. We will have a 55-minute lunch break from 11:45 p.m. to 12:40pm. The seminar will conclude by 4:00pm. A Zoom link and seminar materials will be emailed to registrants 1-2 days before the event. Seminar topics include:
- Artificial Intelligence in the Practice of Law, Judge Raymond J. McKoski (Ret.);
- Professionalism in the Workplace/Sexual Harassment, Jayne Reardon, Prior Executive Director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism;
- How to Defend an ARDC Complaint, Sari Montgomery of Robinson, Stewart, Montgomery & Doppke, LLC;
- A special optional lunch-time presentation from the Art Impact Project;
- How to Cultivate Emotional Balance in Stressful Situations, Dr. Thomas Golebiewski, Ph.D., M.S.W. and Arlene Messner-Peters, LCSW;
- Creating “Safezones” in the Legal Practice, Emily Rudolph, Board Member of the LGBTQ+ Center Lake County; and
- Succession Plans and Maintaining Files, John R. Cesario of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission
