PSLS Receives $25,000 Community Impact Grant from DuPage Foundation
(L-R) PSLS Executive Director Denise Conklin, PSLS West Suburban Office Managing Attorney Amber Moore, and PSLS Grant Specialist Stephanie Regester receive a $25,000 grant from the DuPage Foundation to provide civil legal services in DuPage County.
Prairie State Legal Services (PSLS) received a $25,000 grant through DuPage Foundation’s Community Impact grant program to help support operating costs at PSLS’ West Suburban Office in West Chicago. PSLS’ 11 offices throughout Northern and Central Illinois – including the West Suburban Office – provide high-quality legal services to low-income individuals in the key impact areas of Financial Stability, Housing and Safety. The DuPage Foundation grant will help PSLS assist eligible DuPage County residents with a variety of civil legal issues.
DuPage Foundation awarded nearly $1 million to 57 DuPage County nonprofit organizations. Thanks to additional donations from DuPage Foundation’s donors and donor-advisors, the Foundation was able to grant $500,000 above its regular Community Impact grant budget.
